This is a standard line infantry officer helmet to a
single specific regiment. This unit carried its battle
honors from the French side of the Penninsular War (Medallin,
Mesa De Ibor) and from the British side of the Waterloo
campaign ( La Belle Alliance). What makes this
helmet different is the series of bandeaus and how they
were soldered on. The bandeau were each produced
separately from the main wappen an then soldered to it.
First you see the helmet and the ghost image on the
shell that shows this has been here for some time.
Look at the wappen and the old solder joining it to
the wappen.
